I have been studying Martial Arts now for 12 years and have tried my hand in several different styles including Tae Kwon Do, Kempo, Kali and now actively training Karate and Muay Thai with Arashi-Do Martial Arts. I received my black belt with Arashi-Do in November 2005. This was a HUGE confidence booster in my life and still reigns as one of the best days of my life.

I have an intense "go!go!go!" teaching style, I believe in the value of sweat and hard work so I push my students at a high energy pace which everyone in the room feeds off of making the classes a lot of fun and a great workout. I love that Martial Arts brings discipline and teaches self control to all ages and every class but I also think that it has to be fun or its not worth being there for the students or instructors so although I like good hard working classes, I make it as fun as possible as long as we are getting our work done.

I currently compete in Muay Thai; I love the sport and the art. I also believe if you are going to teach it, you need to have been in the ring and fought to have a proper idea of what it takes to fight and what works and what doesn't.

I co-own 2 Arashi-Do Martial Arts schools and have future plans to open a third. I am one of the lucky ones that get to teach martial arts for a living. I live my hobby, job and passion all at the same time.

I credit Martial Arts for having a good proper head on my shoulders and keeping me out of trouble as a kid because I knew if I did something stupid I would get my martial arts taken away from me and that was a thought that gave me nightmares.

One of the biggest accomplishment for me in my martial arts career so far was training for a Muay Thai ring fight where I was a HUGE underdog. I had to train 6 days a week and lose 30 lbs! I lost the 30lbs. and all I did from when I woke up in the morning to falling asleep at night was think about my fight. But I got in there, fought hard and was putting on a good show up till I broke my foot. Although I didn't get the result I wanted, I felt the most growth I had ever felt as a fighter and as a martial artist. I really understood what it took to be a fighter training for a fight.
