Trevor Clarke
Following in my 4 year old daughter's footsteps I joined Arashi-do at the age of 34. By Blue belt I was a Sempei (senior rank Assisting), by Brown belt I was filling in teaching when needed and on November 26, 2006, I was privileged to receive my Black belt. It was one of the most challenging and rewarding things that I have ever done. At this point I decided to teach on a more permanent basis and I am currently teaching in two schools in Calgary; Hillhurst and Spring bank. I love teaching and passing on the knowledge and skills that I have acquired.
Thanks to the diversity and knowledge of the chief instructors at Arashi-Do, I have been able to expand my training into Muay Thai/kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts styles and pass this on to the students. I love competing in tournaments in all aspects, win or lose I like to take away the positive feeling of personal accomplishment.
Karate has become more than something I do in life, it is part of my life and with the support of my wife( Monette ) and daughter( Shanelle ) something I plan on following for a long time to come.
